SWDMPS addresses the increasing health concerns
We’re increasing health concerns caused by water damage and the formation of mold in buildings and remote monitoring spaces. In Canada, the sector is growing by 15.6% annually, with household penetration expected to increase from 18.8% in 2019 to reach 34% by 2023 – resulting in a vast untapped market and opportunity.

We bring the changes you want to see
In buildings, water accumulation and condensation resulting from humidity is most often concealed and happens over an extended period of time. In many cases, it is too late to treat – creating an opportunity for a resolution to the cause.
The damage caused by gradual water leakage, seepage and condensation are excluded under individual insurance policies and impose high costs to the owners in addition to the severe health risks.
Has a straightforward and user-friendly interface
As it eliminates health risks, it also reduces the associated medical costs that may arise
The problem

Health Canada has cited indoor mold growth to be a significant ‘health hazard,’ as water damage and the consequent formation of mold is a major problem for properties across the country. Many people suffer from respiratory symptoms connected with living in damp conditions, and the long-term medical and economic costs are endless

The SWDMPS solution

Based on an analysis of published data, mold growth limit curves have been generated in terms of the minimum combination of temperature and relative humidity required to sustain growth on indoor building surfaces. These limits are incorporated within SWDMPS’s smart system for use in conjunction with combined heat and moisture flow simulation. The result is a design algorithm which can predict the likelihood and extent of mold growth.

The cloud-based, wireless system proposed by SWDMPS uses a digital hygrometer and a thermometer that communicate wirelessly with the proprietary smartphone app. The cloud-based software analyzes data gathered from various locations in buildings 24/7 and alerts users when mold formation and growth is imminent.
